The BeoVision 12-65 isn't cheap, but it sure is pretty looking.

Bang & Olufsen aren't what you'd call a bargain brand. You won't find their TVs at Best Buy or Walmart, and unless you're making a really significant amount of money, you probably can't afford one. The BeoVision 12 hasn't been priced yet, but it's a safe bet that you can expect the same incredibly high pricing pattern based on everything B&O is throwing at this set.

The BeoVision 12-65 is a 65" 3D capable plasma TV designed to look as good as the video you watch on it. The frame is thin - just a few millimeters - and the two aluminum profiles surrounding the screen bend inward to create a nice optical illusion.

One thing unique to the BeoVision 12-65 is the integrated center channel speaker. Though it's mounted under the TV, B&O assures that the sound will seem as if its straight from the center of the set.

"The arrival of the BeoVision 12 solidifies our commitment to the premium segment of wide-screen home cinema solutions," says Bang & Olufsen president Zean Nielsen. "Furthermore, it strengthens our 3D large screen TV portfolio and complements our home integration and personalized installation services."

Bang & Olufsen Introduces an 85 Inch 3D Plasma

And it only costs a thousand dollars per inch!

The folks at Bang & Olufsen aren't exactly known for building televisions to suit a budget or for making products that appeal to the Walmart crowd. They're all about the high-end, with a strong focus on style (as they see it).

The BeoVision 4-85 is a massive 85 inch plasma set that's aimed right at that high-end demographic. It's a Full HD set that handles 3D pictures using active shutter glasses. It also boasts a dedicated center channel speaker - the BeoLab 10.

Bang & Olufsen's flair for elegant design is present in the 4-85. The monstrous set includes a stand that raises the TV to an optimal viewing height when turned on, revealing the BeoLab 10 loudspeaker at the same time.

The BeoVision 4-85 will be available soon from Bang & Olufsen at a price of $85,000.

Bang & Olufsen Launches the BeoVision 8

B&O's new TV isn't cheap, but at least it looks nice.

Bang & Olufsen is a strange case. While other manufacturers focus on making their televisions cheaper and slimmer, B&O seems to take the opposite approach.

The BeoVision 8 is much smaller than the BeoVision 10, which had a set of speakers attached that made it just as tall as it was wide. Instead, it's got full range speakers -- specially tuned for voice reproduction -- flanking the screen. Underneath the set are down-facing bass speakers.

"What we did," says David Lewis, a designer for B&O, "was move the sound forward and up, designing the TV like a proper stage with an orchestra pit."

The BeoVision 8 is what B&O calls "an advanced yet entry-level TV." You'll be able to pick the 40 inch set up this summer at a price of $5,400.
