Vimeo users can now stream content from their iOS devices to their Chromecast.
Vimeo has announced the latest update to its iOS app. The new software adds Chromecast support, allowing customers to cast Vimeo videos from their iPads and iPhones to their TVs.
Chromecast owners simply need to download the latest Vimeo app on their iOS devices. After that, they can load up a video, enter fullscreen, and then tap the Chromecast icon. The media will then begin to play on a user's Chromecast connected TV, bringing Vimeo content to the big screen. In addition, customers can continue to browse through Vimeo on their iPads and iPhones while the video plays on the television.
Vimeo Chromecast support is currently available through iOS devices only, but support for more gear is expected in the future. The Chromecast is now on sale for $30. Vimeo streaming apps are also available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android devices, and more.
