Customers can soon hit the tennis court in style with these special edition headphones.
In celebration of the upcoming French Open tennis tournament, Swedish headphone brand Urbanears and Roland-Garros have announced a new collaboration. As part of the deal, the companies will produce a special French Open Edition of the Hellas wireless Bluetooth headphones.
"This official collaboration is an epic moment for us" says Oscar Axhede, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Urbanears. "Our special edition Hellas celebrate that creative flair and passion we see played out at Roland– Garros each year."
The Hellas headphones are sweat friendly wireless Bluetooth headphones from Urbanears' new Active collection. The special French Open Edition model features a clay red design inspired by the surface of a tennis court. The headphones also offer a washable headband, washable ear cushions, a built in mic, and a swipe touch interface that lets customers easily cycle through their music playlists with their fingers -- making them a great fit for sports. Specs include 40mm Handmade Drivers, 50mW max input power, 60Ω impedance, and 98dB sensitivity. The Roland–Garros tennis tournament (aka French Open) will be held in Paris from May 16 - June 5 2016.
"We're delighted to work alongside such a design-conscious brand like Urbanears to color a pair of headphones in our trademark clay-red." says Valérie Cattini, Brand Manager from the French Tennis Federation.
Urbanears' Roland-Garros French Open Edition Hellas Headphones will be available soon at Roland-Garros stadium shops, select stores, and online at Urbanears.com for $120. In addition, the headphones are currently available in white, blue, red, and black. The company also makes several more headphones, including on-ear models, DJ models, earbud models, and additional wireless models.
