Endless action game sporting excellent mech designs.
Today, Spark Plug Games announced 'MechRunner,' a 3D transforming mech, action/endless runner title. Built in an arcade style, players will need to pilot their dual mode mech well in order to continue to unlock more environments, enemies, and bosses.
In the game's alternate history, Russia has seized control fueled by technology built from a meteor excavation discovered in the 1940's. Fortunately, a lead engineer involved in the discovery has defected and developed the XP-41, which the player will pilot.
The downloadable title is coming this summer to the PS4, Vita, and PC, and is looking for $25k in additional funds on Kickstarter. In addition to some veteran design talent from Spark Plug Games, which is also working on 'Firefly Online,' two Hollywood film talents are also contributing to the project. Grammy-nominated composer David Joseph Wesley is creating the soundtrack while the game's iconic mech and machine designs come from Marvel film regular Josh Nizzi.
