It looks like the popular media streaming service could be hitting Apple products.
Boxee recently put up an ad looking for an iPod and iPhone developer to be the founding member of their new Mobile Applications team. “We consider 'other screens' as important as TVs for enjoying video,” writes Boxee.
Unless they’ve got something else in mind, it looks like Boxee will be hitting the iPhone in one form or another. It could be a big leap for the company, which would be following in the footsteps of Netflix, who launched an iPhone app earlier this month.
Interestingly the listing also calls out Android development as a plus. Since the intent is to create a Mobile Applications team, it’s no surprise that there’s a desire to expand further than just the iPhone. There’s no official announcement about the project, but it looks as though we can expect Boxee on our smartphones in the near future.
