Eight chapter B.J. action coming in less than three weeks.
Lots of fans know about Bethesda and MachineGames' 2014 hit, 'Wolfenstein: The New Order' (check out the review here), but the immediate question is, just what are they thinking with the upcoming 'Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.' Well, apart from being a stand-alone, two-part story. 'The Old Blood' takes the joy of the 'The New Order's gameplay and brings it to a more classic setting, the 1940s.
Of course, the 1940s setting is an alternate history, one where the Nazis get hold of super science. 'The Old Blood' promises an array of enemies that are the experimental result of this newly acquired tech. Amazingly, 'The Old Blood' has been built by MachineGames with a certain from scratch approach. Or at least, the art assets, levels, and enemies, are freshly made. Likewise, B.J. is getting some new weaponry, not the least of which is the dual mode pipe, the handy helper. The handy helper can be held in one or two hands and is useful for tearing through enemies in gruesome ways, but it's also useful for climbing and smashing through walls.
Again, there is the classic setting. We are talking Castle Wolfenstein and Nazi zombies. With each chapter the B-movie vibe will increase slightly, and in turn, the game will get darker. For both players of 'The New Order' and new players, 'Wolfenstein: The Old Blood' is a perfect way to experience the newest (and much loved) take on one of the genre's classics.
'Wolfenstein: The Old Blood' is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5th with a price of $19.99, and includes the infiltration of Castle Wolfenstein in 'Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves' as well as 'The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs' in the city of Wulfburg.
