Trust no one.
Tom Clancy will meet the world of RPG gaming on March 8, 2016, when 'The Division' hits Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
The game's release date was announced this evening at publisher Ubisoft's E3 conference. But before audiences got the official launch date, they got a glimpse at the game's high-stakes "Dark Zone" map.
The Dark Zone allows teams of up to four players to explore a desolate landscape filled with high-level enemies for the chance to score some legendary loot. Players need to keep their guard up on this map, though, because other player-controlled teams can drop in at any moment looking for the same high-level loot. Players are presented with a choice here: Do they try to take down the enemy team and keep the loot all for themselves, or do they join forces to have better odds against the intimidating AI?
Whatever choice they make, they still need to stay on their toes. Alliances can be broken at any minute. Even players' own teammates can turn on them if they feel like hogging all of the loot for themselves.
Series fans can preorder 'Tom Clancy's The Division' to guarantee access in the game's betas, which start with the Xbox One beta in December.
