All-girl fighter goes current-gen with slew of new features
Lab Zero Games and Autumn Games are bringing 'Skullgirls' to current gen under the label '2nd Encore', and they've now detailed a plethora of new features to expect when the game hits.
For starters, the game itself will now be fully voiced by a who's who of anime VO actors. New modes include Challenges, which will place a number of unique conditions on every fight, Trials, which appears to be a new way of teaching players how to do the game's more advanced combos, and Survival, which is a pretty typical endless procession of fights. The game will have 43 new trophies to earn. The game will support fight sticks from the PS3 (coincidentally, Netherrealm licensed the same tech to make that miracle happen for 'Mortal Kombat X'). Not only will it will be cross-buy for PS4 and Vita (though the Vita port will be released shortly after the PS4's), but it will be cross play as well, where PS4, PS3, and Vita players can all face off.
You can read about the new features in detail over at the official site. The game itself will hit later this summer.
