Tej Parker/Ludacris really wants you to source some cars in south France.
'Forza Horizon 2' is has been out for a few months, and the game continues to be the high standard for racing games (check out the review here). Of course the game has had a hefty amount of DLC, but today' announcement is all about free. Not just free for 'Forza Horizon 2' owners, but free for all Xbox One and 360 owners. The 'Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious' standalone expansion will be free for all on March 27th through April 10th. Those who download the game during that time, get to keep it for free. Those looking to download after April 10th, will have to pony up $10.
Naturally, the timing is set to coincide with the release of the 'Furious 7' movie on April 3rd, and just as natural, the game will feature the 'Fast & Furious' series "most iconic cars" using the 'Forza' engine and gameplay. The gameplay will feature a story anchored by Tej Parker, aka, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, who will task the player with sourcing cars in southern France for the 'Fast & Furious' crew's next mission.
Here are some of the special edition vehicles that will be featured in the game:
1970 Dodge Charger R/T Fast & Furious Edition
2012 Nissan GT-R Fast & Furious Edition
1998 Toyota Supra Fast & Furious Edition
2014 Maserati Ghibli S Fast & Furious Edition
1970 Plymouth Road Runner Fast & Furious Edition
2015 Dodge Charger R/T Fast & Furious Edition
1970 Plymouth Cuda Fast & Furious Edition
2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Fast & Furious Edition
Once unlocked, these cars will be added to the player's collection, and can be used in free roam and in the special 'Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious' photo mode.
No matter how Xbox One owners feel about the film franchise, this is a free chance to check out one of this generation's premiere game engines. This standalone title ought to be great demo material.
