An update on Dead Island 2.
With Dead Island 2, Deep Silver has always been dedicated to delivering the sequel that Dead Island fans deserve.
After careful consideration, today we announce the decision to part ways with development partner YAGER.
We will continue working towards bringing our vision of Dead Island 2 to life, and we will share further information at a later stage.
'Dead Island 2' had been a 2016 target for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but now may be "on the shelf" in terms of development. YAGER is currently working on the aptly named ship multiplayer ship combat game 'Dreadnought.' Techland, the developer behind the original 'Dead Island,' developed the enjoyable 'Dying Light' (review here) that was released earlier this year. Deep Silver has not specified where 'Dead Island 2' goes from here.
