New entry in the series goes top-down co-op
Yesterday, Codemasters released the first trailer for a new 'Overlord' title, subtitled 'Fellowship of Evil'. The trailer is embedded below, and right off the bat, you'll notice some changes. 'Fellowship' appears to be taking several pages out of the book of 'Diablo', with a top-down perspective, and four-player co-op.
Series writer Rhianna Pratchett took to social media to elaborate, however, that 'Fellowship of Evil' isn't exactly 'Overlord III', but a spin-off, thinking of the game "like 'Guardian of Light'/'Temple of Osiris' is to 'Tomb Raider'"
She went on to add, "I do hope that there's a full 'Overlord III' one day, but for now I am really happy to be working on something 'Overlord'y again."
The game is due out later this year for PS4, XBox One, and PC. You can also check out a quick dev diary here, if you're so inclined.
