The winners certainly seem deserving.
For many, E3 is a hectic place, with moments that reach a Black Friday like furor giving way to a nonstop binge on new games, booths, demonstrations, etc. But there are a few areas hidden about, private meeting rooms, security cubbies, long stairwells, and so on where one can get in a breather or just focus on one particular game, group, or audience. This year, the 2014 Into the Pixel Collection was one of those places. An annual collaboration between the Entertainment Software Association and the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, Into the Pixel features pieces from "some of the most important contributors to our industry."
The exhibit's gallery setting was a perfect place to walk and speak low whispers while floating from piece to piece taking in all of the incredible talent on display. Though that exhibition has ended, all of the winners from this year and from previous years can be viewed here.
