'Final Fantasy IX' Now Available on Mobile

Steam release due soon.

Today, Square Enix has released their classic PS1 JRPG 'Final Fantasy IX' on iOS (buy it here) and Android (available here). It'll launch at the 20% discounted price of $16.99 and will stay that way until February 21st. This port, which is also due for release on PC soon, contains various tweaks to the original game such as achievements, speed increases, encounter rate modifiers, autosave, and HD character models.

While the price might seem a tad steep for the mobile version, 'FFIX' really is an outstanding game, possibly one of the best RPGs ever. I'll personally be waiting for the PC release, but to have this game on the go, $17 is more than worth it. Here's hoping the PC release arrives as soon as possible.
