Mod snafu not representative of Techland's position.
'Dying Light' is out, and by all accounts it's a great big world packed full of zombies to run around or run through. (Check out the review here.) Last week though, Techland ran afoul of the PC community when in contrast to the developer's history with 'Call of Juarez' and 'Dead Island,' it appeared momentarily that the developer was anti-mods. As a result, Techland is making public something that the developer has had in the works for a while, free and extensive mod tools. The developer has been working on the mode tools as part of post release plans since at least a year ago, but now, is asking for input direct from the community.
From Techland, "We’re inviting all Dying Light players to visit our official discussion board and share their mod ideas - no matter how crazy - with us here"
Techland has acknowledged that several interesting mods have already been released, and the developer want to see more.
