Lots of dying is involved.
From Software brought some 'Dark Souls 3' gameplay to PAX Prime this year, and the folks at IGN were nice enough to upload around 13 minutes of that footage so those of us not in Seattle could catch a peak.
The gameplay footage features a player trying to make some headway in one area. In true Souls form, the first player death clocks in before the two-minute mark hits, and that's certainly not the last player death, either.
The footage ends with the player squaring off against a boss monster. That encounter goes just about as well as you'd expect.
So if you're a Souls fan and are interested in how next year's franchise entry stacks up to its predecessors, you can catch all 13 minutes below.
