And a new trailer seeks to horrify, succeeds.
Edmund McMillen and Nicalis, the developer he enlisted to make pretty and new his much-beloved roguelike 'The Binding of Isaac,' have announced the 'Rebirth' for a Nov. 4 release date on all previously revealed platforms. That's the PS4, PS Vita and PC.

As promised, there's a loyalty discount on Steam for those who already own the original game. That's active for 'Rebirth' pre-orders up until launch and brings the price down from stock $15 to $10 (33 percent off). Obviously, that discount does not apply to the PS Vita or PS4 versions.
'The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth' features a 16-bit-inspired visual upgrade, and also throws in a whole bunch of new content. New items and areas will extend the game's already massive replay value to astronomical highs. Finally, a new local co-op mode means we can experience the horrors together.
