Getting better.
When 'Assassin's Creed: Unity' was released last year, and there were issues, some more noticeable than others (check out the review here). One of those issues involved some in-game content that was locked down. Where' Black Flag' players enjoy the option of an excellent free companion app, 'Unity' required users to use the companion app in order to unlock certain in-game chests and other content. Likewise, the Assassin's Creed Online Initiates program likewise restricted content, and suffered from connectivity issues.
Fortunately, Ubisoft has continued to patch the game, with improvement coming steadily since release.
Now it seems, with Patch 5, all of the content that formerly had to be unlocked through the app and through the Initiates program is available to all players. The patch is available now on the PS4 & Xbox One and is promised for the PC on February 19th.
