There might be something to this return of 'Battlefront.'
The 'Star Wars: Battlefront' beta is over, and EA has announced that the beta was the biggest in the publisher's history (take that 'Hardline' and 'Titanfall'). EA calls the response a milestone after "more than nine millions players logged in and played."
The beta was free for users on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC from last Thursday through this morning.
With so many players having taken advantage of the free beta, EA should have plenty of hard data as well as player feedback to work on. With five weeks until release, however, it's going to be down to fine-tuning. Considering the positive response, can there be any doubt that next month's launch will be massive?
Yesterday, EA announced plans for expansions, a season pass, and an Ultimate Edition.
