Developers off to make next game.
'Prison Architect' has received its 2.0 Update, which marks the game's final content update after six years of development, according to the developers at Introversion Software.
The big addition in Version 2.0 is the ability to enable cheats. When creating a new map, players can check the box "Enable Cheats" to make it so that they can construct structures instantly, spawn objects for no cost, and speed up bureaucratic research. Prisons that were created with cheats enabled cannot have them removed, and they cannot be used to unlock achievements.
The 2.0 update also includes a metric ton of bug fixes (which you can see on the Steam patch notes here). The developers note that, though 'Prison Architect' will receive no more content updates, they will continue to provide the game with support and bug fixes.
You can listen to the game's producer and designer talk about this final content update in the video below.
