Service and Miiverse community will be ending next month.
Once one of the cooler features promised by the WiiU, but in practice, cumbersome and clunky, the system's TVii service will be shutting down on August 11th, according to a post on the feature's Miiverse.
The shutdown won't affect the remote control feature of the WiiU Gamepad, but the ability to go in and draw over still frames and post to Miiverse will be gone, as will the icon over the Home Menu. meanwhile, there's still perfectly functional Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon apps you can keep using with the system. Thanks for trying, Nintendo.
