Build worlds 36 times larger than the PS3 edition.
Not only is the 'Minecraft: Xbox One Edition' coming this Friday, but this Thursday, 'Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition' will be out for the PS4. This Thursday, September 4th, PS4 players will get their 'Minecraft,' and it will cost $19.99. This is big news, but for 'Minecraft: PS3 Edition' players, the news is even better.
All purchased downloadable content will transfer over to the PS4 version. 'Minecraft: The PlayStation 3 Edition' is $19.99 and can be upgraded (physical and digital copies) to the PS4 version for only $4.99. In fact, purchasing the PS3 version and upgrading is best since it yields three versions, the PS3, PS4, and the Vita versions.
'Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition' supports worlds up to 36 times larger than on PS3. "Play on your own, cooperatively with friends in 2 player and 4 player split screen modes, or online with up to 8 players."
'Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition' will be available from PSN, as a download code from certain retailers, and at some point this year, as a retail disc copy.
