It seems the 'Evolve' PC alpha will begin with haste, as invitations are going out to a lucky few who've already signed up.
And if you haven't already found out via email, then you'll have to settle for Twitter.

The alpha is extremely limited, only going out to North American players with "very specific PC configurations," according to a Turtle Rock Community Manager. That said, Turtle Rock also promised more oppourtunites for alpha testing in the future.
If you didn’t receive an invite, there will be more opportunities to participate in future alphas and join the hunt. #4v1

Keep in mind, an Xbox One-exclusive beta was also revealed during E3, which is presumed to happen before the game's Oct. 21 release date, and likely to be more open, given the publicity of it's announcement.
