Microsoft, eager to nab a little 'Destiny' publicity in the runup to the game's launch, is opening up digital pre-orders. In turn, Xbox One owners can pre-load the game today as they await the game's Sept. 9 launch.
Two versions of the game are currently available. The $60 Pre-Order Edition grants you the Vanguard Armory and Emblem pre-order bonuses, while the $90 Digital Guardian Edition gets you everything the other one does plus an exclusive Ghost shell, player ship and player emblem, plus an online pass for two of the game's planned multiplayer/campaign expansions - The Dark Below and House of Wolves.
On Sept. 9 at 12:01 a.m. PDT (3:01 a.m. EST), anyone with a pre-loaded 'Destiny' on their hard drive will be able to jump right in.
Sony, on the other hand, has this to show for its 'Destiny' release. The competition goes burning on.
