Updated title will have tiered pricing
Lest anyone forget, especially the folks still knee deep in 'Bloodborne', From Software is still releasing an upgraded "Director's Cut" of sorts for 'Dark Souls II', subtitled 'Scholar of the First Sin Edition', which will include all previously released DLC, including the 'Scholar of the First Sin' patch and content released in February, as well as a host of graphical upgrades, and a rearrangement of many of the items and enemies. While console folk will have just one big purchase to make, costing $59.99 for current gen systems, $49.99 for previous gen, the PC version will be a little more complicated, which Bandai Namco was kind enough to clear up in a post on their Tumblr.
The full version of the game will cost $49.99 for those running it off the high spec DirectX11 software, $39.99 for the DirectX9 version. For those who already own the original version through Steam, the upgrade to the DirectX11 version will cost $29.99. Lastly, the folks who own the original game and all three existing DLC packs can upgrade for $19.99.
PC players also get a head start, as their version unlocks on Steam 3pm PDT on April 1st, while the console port hits a week later on April 7th.
