Futurelab spreading their wings.
In its short life, 'Velocity 2X' has been known as an exciting, PlayStation only, breath of fresh air (review here). That changes now. By partnering with Sierra Games, Futurlab is going to be bringing 'Velocity 2X' to the Xbox One and the PC, Mac, and Linux platforms. With the move, Futurlab is relinquishing the role of self-publisher, but will still be handling the actual port work.
In 'Velocity 2X,' players take the role of Lt. Kai Tana who dishes out punishment while rescuing prisoners, both with her Quarp Jet and on the ground.
Sierra has announced that there will be some new, exclusive features for the Xbox One and PC editions of Velocity 2X. These new features include special daily challenge stages as well as all the bonus stages from the Critical Urgency and Dual Core DLC packs from 'Velocity 2X's original PlayStation releases.
The new versions are due out this summer.
