Christian Nutt over at Gamasutra attempts to bring perspective to the launch of the Wii U.
In a piece way longer than most gamers care to read (yes, you specifically and everyone that you know), Christian traces the Wii U's lineage back to when much of the gaming audience was unsure if the DS would last a year.
The piece then goes to draw a parallel between 'Nintendo Land' not being as good at illustrating what the Wii U's capabilities are as 'Wii Sports' did for the Wii and the much larger potential contained in the Wii U's new features and interface over the Wii.
The conclusion stops short of distinct praise or derision at the Wii U on day one and instead echoes how much more anxious many are to draw a quick conclusion compared with the Wii's launch six years ago.
