Just in time for Halloween, Warner Home Video has announced it will bring horror-thriller 'The Reaping' to both next-gen formats this October.
Starring two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank, the $40-million grossing spookfest will hit Blu-ray and HD DVD (as a DVD combo platter) day-and-date with the standard-def version on October 16.
Both next-gen versions are set to include Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround tracks, and the same batch of supplements, including four featurettes and a "Scary Story," read by the movie's pint-sized co-star AnnaSophia Robb.
The Blu-ray edition will retail for $34.95, while the extra DVD flipside will cost HD DVD fans an extra $5 bucks with a $39.98 MSRP.
We've added full specs including box art for 'The Reaping' to both our Blu-ray Release Schedule and HD DVD Release Schedule, under October 16.
