Warner Confirms 'Million Dollar Baby' HD-DVD Delay

HD-DVD officially launched today nationwide as scheduled, but one title was conspicuously absent from the festivities. Due to last-minute production snafus, Warner has been forced to delay the release of 'Million Dollar Baby' on HD-DVD by a few days, the studio is confirming.
A studio spokesperson told High-Def DVD Digest that rather than postpone the launch of all three of its initial HD-DVD offerings, including 'The Last Samurai' and 'The Phantom of the Opera,' Warner opted to delay only shipments of 'Baby.' The studio expects all retail pre-orders for the title should be fulfilled by the beginning of next week.
The disc's technical specs, features and suggested $34.99 list price remain unchanged.
