Warner has announced its latest "catch-up" title for Blu-ray, bringing the high seas blockbuster 'The Perfect Storm' to the format this July.
Originally released on HD DVD back in June 2006 (read our review), 'The Perfect Storm' is one of a handful of high-profile Warner titles the studio never subsequently released on Blu-ray.
That will change on July 22, when the studio debuts the George Clooney-Mark Wahlberg hit on Blu-ray, with all the same bonus features as the previous HD DVD.
The identical spate of extras will include three audio commentaries (with director Wolfgang Petersen, author Sebastian Junger, and the visual effects team), the HBO First Look "Creating the Perfect Storm," two additional featurettes ("Witness to the Storm," "Creating an Emotion"), the "Yours Forever" still montage, and the original theatrical trailer.
Tech specs boast 1080p/VC-1 video and audio options in English Dolby Digital Surround EX, French Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and Spanish Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround, plus English, French and Spanish subtitles.
Warner has set a suggested $28.95 list price for the Blu-ray.
You'll find specs for 'The Perfect Storm' linked from our Blu-ray Release Schedule, where it's indexed under July 22.
