Also announced: the less powerful, non networking TX-SR707.
Onkyo announced today that they are shipping the TX-NR807 and the TX-SR707, the newest in the x07 line. There are improvements all around, but perhaps most noticeably is the NR807’s networking capability.
Hooking up via an Ethernet port, the NR807 is able to stream audio directly from your PC in real time. In addition, users will also be able to stream popular music services, like Pandora and Rhapsody, directly from the internet.
Both receivers feature Dolby Pro Logic IIz processing, Audyssey equalization technologies and Faroujda 1080p upscaling. The SR707, at an MSRP of $899 has a 7 x 100 Watts power amplifier section, with the $1099 NR807 boasting 7 x 135 Watts.
