This is the second studio that Epic has opened in a month, with the previous being Impossible Studios.
The folks at Epic have created a brand new Seattle studio made specifically for work involving Unreal Engine 4. The plan is to hire people to help develop the engine and, presumably, make some games to boot.
"The proximity to key partners, the density of world-class talent and all the factors that make Seattle an attractive place to live convinced us that it is the perfect locale for Epic’s West Coast operation," says Dr. Michael Capps, president of Epic Games. "We are looking to hire even more of the best engineers around to contribute to Unreal Engine 4, which we believe is set to change the way we all make games."
