The high-def release of David Cronenberg's acclaimed thriller is still over a month away, but we've got an early look at the cover art for the highly anticipated HD DVD.
As previously reported, Universal will bring the Viggo Mortsensen-Naomi Watts starrer to HD DVD and standard-def DVD on December 26, following a hit theatrical run that had critics hailing it as one of the year's top Oscar contenders.
Among the previously-announced extras set for the HD DVD combo release of 'Eastern Promises' are two making-of featurettes, "Secrets and Stories" and "Marked for Life," the film's original theatrical trailer, and Universal's exclusive MyScenes bookmarking function.
Tech specs include 1080p/VC-1 video, and high-res audio support with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround (48kHz/24-bit) and Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 Surround tracks.
Now Universal has revealed the last piece of the high-def puzzle, the HD DVD's cover art:
As previously announced, MSRP for the HD DVD combo is $39.98.
