Universal is bringing the animated hit 'The Tale of Despereaux' to Blu-ray this March with a raft full of bonus features and exclusives.
The $50 million-grossing sleeper hit about a little mouse that could will debut on Blu-ray on March 17, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with 1080p video (2.35:1) and an English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround track.
Extras shared with the DVD include two featurettes ("The Tale of The Tale of Despereaux: A (Mostly) Non-Fictional Making-Of," "Top Ten Uses for Oversized Ears"), scene progressions, a pair of deleted songs, the "Make Your Own Soup" interactive game, and a sneak peek at "Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey."
Exclusive to the Blu-ray are two Bonus View picture-in-picture tracks (live action and animatic), plus the BD-Live-enabled My Scenes Sharing function and another interactive game.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.98.
