In an early announcement, Universal Studios Home Entertainment says it is planning a November HD DVD wedding reception for the Adam Sandler summer blockbuster, 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry.
Although the studio stopped short of issuing an exact street date for film (which is still in theaters), it is promising an HD DVD edition sometime in the month of November, day-and-date with a standard-def DVD.
Tech specs are set to include a 1080p/VC-1 transfer, along with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround and Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 Surround tracks.
Extras are somewhat slim so far, with the only announced supplements being deleted/alternate scenes, and outtakes. However, additional U-Control features exclusive to the HD DVD are expected with the full press announcement in the coming weeks.
The high-def version will be a HD DVD/DVD combo release, with a suggested list price of $39.98.
In anticipation of a confirmed street date and final details for 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry,' we've added a listing for the title in the "Release Dates Pending" section of our HD DVD Release Schedule. Stay tuned!
