Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced its second wave of September HD DVD releases, including the catalog hits 'Patch Adams,' 'Cat People' and the 1994 remake of 'The Getaway.'
Due in stores September 25, all three titles will boast the studio's standard 1080p/VC-1 transfers, and -- in what appears to be a newfound, unilateral support for high-resolution audio -- Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround tracks.
These three new titles follow Universal's announcement last week of a first wave of two September HD DVD catalog releases, 'For the Love of the Game' and 'The Last Starfighter.'
'Patch Adams' and 'Cat People' are both set to include all of the same supplements as their standard-def DVD counterparts, including audio commentary, featurettes and more. ('The Getaway,' like the previous DVD edition, will be featureless.)
Universal has set a suggested $29.98 list price for each.
We've added all three titles to our HD DVD Release Schedule, under September 25. Stay tuned for box art to be revealed in the coming days.
