Universal Studios Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will bring one of this year's biggest comedies 'Knocked Up' to HD DVD this fall in a feature-packed, unrated special edition.
The sleeper hit of the summer, 'Knocked Up' has grossed over $135 million at the domestic box office (and counting).
Universal will bow the acclaimed comedy from writer/director Judd Apatow ('The 40 Year-Old Virgin') on September 25, in an "Unrated and Unprotected" edition, featuring additional footage too raunchy for theaters.
Among the bonus features will be audio commentary with Apatow and stars Seth Rogen and Bill Hader, deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel, and U-Control enhancement exclusive to the HD DVD that features a picture-in-picture commentary with Apatow and cast.
Tech specs include 1080p/VC-1 video and a Dolby Digital-Plus 5.1 surround track (sadly, specs announced by Universal do not include any high-resolution audio formats).
Retail price for the HD DVD/DVD combo release is $39.98.
As always, you'll find full specs and box art for 'Knocked Up' linked from our HD DVD Release Schedule, where it is listed under September 25.
