Ubisoft takes a big step forward by securing Tom Hardy for their upcoming 'Splinter Cell' film adaptation reports Variety.
'Splinter Cell' is one of the more successful Tom Clancy game franchises and originally was a Western take on stealth-based gameplay.
Before undergoing a recent youth movement, Sam Fisher, the operative protagonist of the game series, had been voiced by Michael Ironside.
With Hardy and 'Splinter Cell,' Ubisoft's film initiative has a second premiere production to shop alongside Michael Fassbender and 'Assassin's Creed.'
