Both new and older plasmas will feature Twitter functionality.
The world of connected home theaters is an exciting one. There seem to be endless possibilities, whether it's communicating with someone across the country via Skype, downloading movies, streaming media or even just checking the weather.
There are amazing ways to use our fancy connected televisions, and then thereare those that just seem unnecessary. The ones that function better and more simply on phones and PCs. The ones that serve no practical purpose. Like Twitter.
Even though it seems a bit silly to do so, Panasonic has officially announced the addition of Twitter to the VT25, G20 and G25 lines of plasma televisions. It's one of those things that nobody necessarily wants, but it's another logo to throw on the box.
As far as Viera Cast enabled Blu-ray players go, there's no word yet on Twitter integration.
