A Facebook group looking to make a CryEngine version of 'TimeSplitters' given permission by Crytek, with promise of possible asset support.
On the heels of both a petition to make 'TimeSplitters 4' and another petition demanding an HD collection of the three 'TimeSplitters' titles, the '100,000 Strong of TimeSplitters 4' group posted this update, "I have just had word from Crytek that they are going to permit and support a TimeSplitters CryEngine mod. I am now looking for modders that can handle the CryEngine. If [I] manage to get a group together, then they may let us use assets from the original TimeSplitters game! [S]o the idea is to build a TimeSplitters all-in-one. All the levels, all the characters and all the weapons."
The remnants of the 'Timesplitters' IP and its developer Free Radical now belong to Crytek. Oftentimes, similar fan projects are eventually disallowed by the IP holder, making this a rare move.
