Both include wireless subs and are due out this September.
Polk seems to have had some success with their existing SurroundBar lineup and is adding another pair into the mix - the $399 SB 5000, which offers up 2.1 channels with 5.1 Dolby Digital decoding and the $849 SB 9000, which dishes up 7.1 channel sound and plenty more.
The SB 5000 is unique in that it's the first soundbar in the lineup to pack stereo Bluetooth, complete with Apt-X decoding. Apt-X promises CD quality sound over Bluetooth thanks to an audio codec that converts compressed music to PCM and recompresses it for Apt-X.
Polk's SB 9000 lacks Bluetooth capabilities, but packs Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 decoding as well as analog audio outputs and an 8-inch downfiring subwoofer that's rated at 150 watts.
You can pick up these new SurroundBars when they launch in September.
