The acclaimed romance will sweep Blu-ray off its feet this May.
In an early announcement to retailers, Starz/Anchor Bay says 'Blue Valentine' will be available on Blu-ray on May 10.
“'Blue Valentine' is the best movie of 2010!” says the New York Daily News’ Joe Neumaier. “Director Derek Cianfrance’s intense, beautiful, emotionally raw drama is memorable for a depth of emotion that is naturalistic, heartbreaking, real and rare.” Writes USA Today’s Claudia Puig, “Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams have the most palpable chemistry of any screen couple this year,” while Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers says “'Blue Valentine' is not to be missed. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams give two of the most explosive and emotionally naked performances you will see anywhere.”
Highlighted by uncompromising scenes of sexual intimacy and emotional intensity, 'Blue Valentine' captivated audiences and critics alike, with the Los Angeles Times pronouncing it “something extraordinary, a valentine that actually says something true about being in love.”
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include an audio commentary with director Derek Cianfrance and co-editor Jim Helton; a “Making of” featurette; Home Movie; and deleted scenes.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $39.99.
