Features a variety of Final Fantasy characters in a 'a pick-up-and-go RPG with massive battles.'
Square Enix has a large presence on iTunes, part of which is made up of ports of older titles and part of which are new off-shoots that are named similarly to older titles. 'Final Fantasy All the Bravest' seems to fall between these two example types.
The focus of the title is not on a grand story, but rather on the Active Time Battle system and the ever-lauded job system. From the iTunes description, "FINAL FANTASY ALL THE BRAVEST is a touch-action RPG in which you continuously battle enemies to advance through the game’s many stages. Defeating foes earns you the experience points you need to level up, which in turns grants you character slots to add more and more members to your party."
The title is also a kind of Final Fantasy compendium with "Characters, enemies, and music from throughout the FINAL FANTASY series!"
Fans of the series be forewarned though, as well-known as the ATB system is, the game's description does lend itself to comparison to 'Mafia Wars' style cool-downs, "Once every three hours, the Fever option will appear. Once activated, you will be able to attack without waiting for ATB gauges to refill as long as the chocobo-themed music is playing."
