The headset packs BassImpact, which turns bass into a pulse around your ears.
Have you ever been playing a game and thought to yourself "Hey self, wouldn't it be cool if that explosion caused a vibrating pulse around my ears? The Pulse Wireless Headset – Elite Edition does just that, courtesy of a technology called BassImpact.
It's a wireless stereo headset that includes noise-cancelling microphones, higher fidelity speakers than previous models and compatibility with your PS3 and Vita. It's coming this fall at $149.
With E3 coming up, companies are eager to make sure their smaller announcements don't get overlooked, and so reveal some things a bit early. The new Pulse Elite Edition isn't going to be the focus of Sony's press conference – it'll be a footnote if anything. But it's a slick new headset nonetheless.
