The much-loved drama based on Stephen King's novella 'The Body' will set out for adventure in high-definition this March.
In an early announcement to retailers, Sony says 'Stand By Me' is coming to Blu-ray on March 22.
The film about four young friends who set out to find the dead body of a missing teenager stars Wil Wheaton, River Phoenix, Corey Feldman, Jerry O'Connell, Kiefer Sutherland, Richard Dreyfuss, and is directed by Rob Reiner.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a lossless 5.1 soundtrack, and supplements will include: Audio commentary with director Rob Reiner; Featurette: Walking the Tracks: The Summer of Stand by Me including interviews with Stephen King and Rob Reiner; Music video: Ben E. King, "Stand By Me"; and an all-new picture-in-picture 25th anniversary retrospective commentary with director Rob Reiner and actors Wil Wheaton and Corey Feldman.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $24.95.
