Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced it will bring its first-ever collection of Pixar short films to Blu-ray this holiday season.
On November 6, Disney will debut 'The Pixar Short Films Collection' exclusively on Blu-ray. The single-disc set will contain thirteen of Pixar's short subjects, including such Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning favorites as 'Geri's Game,' 'For the Birds' and 'One Man Band.'
Although most of these shorts have appeared on the standard-def DVD releases of Pixar's full-length theatrical features, 'The Pixar Short Films Collection' will mark their first appearance in high-definition.
The special release is being timed to coincide with the debut of the first Pixar feature to hit Blu-ray, 'Cars,' which also streets November 6.
Disney has not yet announced tech specs for 'The Pixar Short Film Collection' nor is there any official info on any supplemental materials that may be included.
In anticipation of a full announcement for 'The Pixar Short Film Collection,' we've added a new listing for the title to our Blu-ray Release Schedule, under November 6. Stay tuned!
