The 1981 animated cult classic originally planned for Blu-ray this January has been pulled from the release calendar.
As previously reported, Sony was working on 'Heavy Metal' starring the voices of John Candy, Eugene Levy, and Harold Ramis for Blu-ray on January 25, but now the release has been canceled without any reason given.
"The otherworldly tale of a glowing green orb that spreads destruction until confronted with pure goodness. "
Specs weren't revealed, but supplements were to include: Imagining Heavy Metal and Deleted Scenes.
