'Gandhi' will bring peace to Blu-ray this February, with Sony Pictures planning a high-def special edition of the Oscar-winning epic.
Starring Ben Kingsley as legendary leader Mahatma Gandhi and directed by Sir Richard Attenborough, 'Gandhi' will make its Blu-ray bow on February 17. (Sony previiously-released a special editon DVD in 2004.)
Tech specs will feature the 191-minute film on a BD-50 dual-layer disc and presented in 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video and English Dolbly TrueHD 5.1 Surround audio.
Supplements have not yet been confirmed, but a package comparable to the special editon DVD is expected. Watch this space.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.
