The nostalgic animated hit from the eighties could be coming to Blu-ray in the very near future.
According to a recent tweet from Shout! Factory's DVD producer Brian Ward, the animated 1987 'G.I. Joe: The Movie' is in the works for a high-definition release.
"So the print's in excellent condition. Looks like we'll be doing GI JOE: THE MOVIE on Blu-ray" Brian says, and "...the end credits for GI JOE: THE MOVIE finally came in. Gonna have a complete HD transfer!"
There's no word on tech specs, supplements, or even a suggested list price as of yet, but as always we'll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments for this release.
