Now we know that the previously rumored 80s cult hit is indeed slated for Blu-ray release in July, and yes, knowing is half the battle!
Shout! Factory has finally set a date for the 1987 animated 'G.I. Joe: The Movie,' and it will hit Blu-ray on July 27.
Specs have yet to be specified, but the release will be a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack and supplements will include: Audio commentary with story consultant Buzz Dixon, The final 8 "Knowing Is Half The Battle" PSAs that were not on the G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero – The Complete Series DVD box set, Original Printable Screenplay w/Darker Ending, Art gallery.
The Blu-ray will also include the option to choose the original 1.33:1 aspect ratio or the previously unreleased 1.78:1 letterbox version!
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $26.97.
