The company's newest 4K TVs have been detailed.
Samsung has revealed the latest additions to its SUHD TV lineup. The collection will range in size from 49-inches to 88-inches across five series.
"Our new SUHD TVs represent our singular focus on innovation that matters most to consumers, by providing the very best picture quality for the home," said Hyun Suk Kim, President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. "In 2016, we’re going beyond anything we've done before to offer a remarkable synergy of design, engineering and craftsmanship."
Samsung's 2016 SUHD TVs will use cadmium-free, 10-bit Quantum dot displays. HDR support with 1,000 nit minimum will be included as well. In addition, the KS9500 model features a special bezel-less curved-screen design. The displays will also come equipped with the Tizen Smart TV platform along with the new Smart Hub and Smart Control Remote, and IoT hub connected home technology. Access to 4K streaming services like Netflix and Amazon is also provided, along with support for Samsung's new Ultra HD Blu-ray player with HDR via the TVs' HDMI 2.0a connection.
Pricing and release dates have not been announced yet, but Samsung's new SUHD TVs will be on display at CES from January 6-9.
